About the role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to work at our Austral Bricks plant in Wollert VIC. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently performing emergency, project and preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment.
Duties include but are not limited to
• Ensure that all Austral Bricks Occupational Health & Safety and Environment policies are followed
• Ensure safe working conditions and compliance to all WHS policies and procedures;
• Examine faulty machinery and equipment for defects;
• Use various hand tools to fit and assemble parts, which require knowledge of principles of electrical machines
• Ensure that plant mechanical and electrical assets are fully maintained to promote efficient operation of equipment
• Complete planned, unplanned and requested maintenance tasks effectively;
• Perform fault-finding analysis and diagnosis of maintenance issues and undertake problem solving to resolve/repair issues to minimise impact on production;
• Liaise with management, supervisors, maintenance team and operators to resolve breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime; and
• Conduct proactive breakdown analysis and identify problem areas of plant.
• Other duties as directed
We are looking for people with
• Electrical Trade qualification.
• Experience in Pneumatics, and Robotics
• Demonstrated sound electrical aptitude.
• Demonstrated ability to read and understand schematic drawings, plans and specification.
• Sound knowledge of PLC’s and safety systems
• Previous exposure to instrumentation and sensors
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Strong time management, administration and organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to complete multiple tasks with varying levels of priority to minimise downtime.
