Role
We’re seeking an enthusiastic Detailing Project Coordinator to join the team at our Austral Precast® office in Wetherill Park, NSW. Reporting to the National Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the creation of precast drawings. You will also liaise with customers, engineers and architects to seek information and confirm their requirements.

In this role you will work as part of a team responsible for delivering the design and detailing function across multiple projects. You will have a keen eye for detail, be passionate about working in a team delivering first class customer service, and thrive in a high paced environment with high problem solving skills to able to eliminate obstacles that get in the way of delivering projects ahead of schedule.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Liaise with architects, engineers, clients and detailing subcontractors;
• Learn and implement new or improved detailing methods and procedures;
• Active participation and contribution to meetings regarding job assessments, detailing department and operations;
• Manage a variety of detailing activities with variable complexity of tasks and projects to completion;
• Review information obtained from architect, structural engineer and client and raise RFIs when required;
• Identify variations to original scope;
• Manage and provide clear instructions to a team of precast drafters; and
• Review shop drawings for accuracy.

Success requirements:
• Spatial skills, the ability to read drawings (structural, architectural, mechanical, shop drawings, etc) and identify discrepancies.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to provide clear instructions to drafters as well as raise RFIs.
• Ability to complete multiple tasks with varying levels of priority.
• Ability to solve problems in a proactive manner and take initiative to make changes to avoid future problems.
• Keen eye for detail, the ability to identify inaccuracies.
• Experience using AutoCAD and Tekla software (desirable).
• Experience preparing / reviewing precast shop drawings / precast structures (desirable).
