About the role

Making beautiful products that last forever starts by building great teams, and we are seeking a self-motivated and confident Precast Sales Engineer to join our Austral Precast office in Wetherill Park, New South Wales. Reporting to the Engineering and Estimating Manager you will be responsible for winning project specifications and orders of Austral Precast range of innovative precast products with engineers, architects, developers and builders.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Win front end design and engineering specifications and follow the specifications all the way through until the order is successfully received;
• Communicate the features, benefits and applications of Austral Precast products with industry stakeholders;
• Review customer’s project design and contracts/commercial documentation to identify opportunities to recommend Austral Precast products;
• Identify, discuss and document key risks, assumptions and success requirements for each opportunity;
• Act as a trusted advisor with building designers and engineers by guiding the customer to the right solution for their project;
• Communicate with internal stakeholders the key assumptions, risks, commercial, technical, production and delivery methodology underlying each opportunity created;
• Review contract scope of works;
• Develope of sales and marketing literature including preparing product guides, case studies and technical manuals;
• Support R&D activities for future new products; and
• Support internal sales and estimating teams as needed to win conversions of open tenders in alternative building products/techniques to an Austral Precast product.

Success Requirements

• Degree in Structural Engineering or a qualification in a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a precast concrete related role.
• Experience with Double Wall/Twinwall and/or architectural precast façade products desirable.
• Exceptional customer relationship management skills.
• Strong time management, administration and organisational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to complete multiple tasks with varying levels of priority.
