Role
We’re seeking a self-motivated and confident Pricing Data Scientist to join our Brickworks office in Horsley Park, NSW. Reporting to the General Manager Pricing, you will be responsible for creating and applying advanced analytics and predictive modelling in a commercial environment.

Duties include but are not limited to
• Create and apply advanced analytics and predictive modelling using appropriate supervised and/or unsupervised learning methodologies in a commercial environment;
• Develop price and revenue optimisation models across Brickworks brands;
• Challenge current knowledge through application of appropriate research such as hypothesis testing, cluster analysis and segmentation;
• Implement models and co-ordinate an automation framework to provide insights and alerts for critical decisions ensuring sales and margin outcomes;
• Investigate and implement improvements to processes, cost control, price, customer service and cost to serve through data mining and turning transactional data into actionable information;
• Support the development of less experienced analysts;
• Provide thought leadership to develop problem-solving strategies around pricing analytics and governance;
• Ability to merge data from legacy systems, CRM, ERP and external sources;
• Contribute to the improvement of data attributes and cleanse existing data sources through application of various data preparation and processing approaches; and
• Influence data quality improvements across the business through assessment of data quality, new variable identification and creation, support and documentation of new processes and procedures.

Success Requirements
• University Degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science or relevant discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in application of modelling to business.
• Ability to articulate complex analytical information to a non-technical audience.
• Strong time management, administration and organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to complete multiple tasks with varying levels of priority.
